Some of you know I also do theater. So Fall 2015 centered around MadCo's successful production of Into the Woods that I choreographed and directed, straight into Chicago which was performed to large audiences in January (I played Roxie Hart and had a blast as well as directing the show.) Not to mention opening Naked Ewe Boutique in December just in time for the holidays, and knitting and crocheting some commissioned pieces. Then I found myself in a production of Southern Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors as Adriana at Cascades Park. It was fun and ton of work to memorize pages and pages of Shakespearean language. But I did it! And the audiences seemed to love it. And, I just cast the summer kid's show, The Tale of Peter Rabbit (and Benjamin Bunny), MadCo's summer children's theater offering.

Today's post is really a small shout out to WTXL in Midway, FL. Tomorrow at 6:15 am, UGH, I will be on TV talking about and demoing my knitting boards. I will also be at the Millstone Plantation Fiber Festival Saturday, April 30 and all day Sunday, May 1 with knitting boards and how-to's on knitting boards and in crochet. Hope to see you there. The Plantation is located at 6500 Old Millstone Road in Tallahassee, FL. Hope to see you there!]]>
<![CDATA[Welcome!]]>Mon, 30 Nov 2015 09:39:07 GMThttp://oldfashionedknittingboard.com/blog/welcomePicture
Welcome! Since I'm opening a new gift/yarn boutique and revamping my tired, old website, I thought I'd try my hand at blogging. I was trying to decide exactly what I want to talk about, and I came to the conclusion that really, nothing is off the table. But for the comfort of friends and family, I'll keep it centered around my interests and loves: theater-specifically musical comedy, dance, Pilates, singing, CHRISTMAS MUSIC, crochet, knitting boards, designing, directing and producing shows, accordion music, the beautiful Gulf Coast-narrowing it down to St. George Island, and my lovies--the cats. I hope you enjoy my musings. As you can see from the photo, Christmas is one of my most favorite times of the year. I could listen to Christmas music year round. With the opening of the new boutique, music and dance students, and rehearsals for my next big theatrical endeavor Chicago, The Musical, I'm sure you can imagine that my time is limited. Tomorrow, or actually today as it's already 4 am, I plan to decorate the studio, the boutique, and my house for the holidays. So, I hope I entertain and amuse you. And I hope you are set to enjoy the Christmas holidays with your loved ones as well.
